Sculpted Rocking Chair
An elegant sculptured rocking chair in tiger maple and walnut. Every part of this chair is carved and shaped to bring out the beauty of the form and the wood. The design is inspired by a national recognized woodworker (now deceased) named Sam Maloof. His chairs reside at the White House and in many museums, such as the Boston Museum of Fine Art.
The process of building such a rocker is one in which beauty is revealed while the pieces are shaped and refined. Each rocker will hopefully be enjoyed for generations. I am inspired to make furniture which is unique, functional and highlight the wood grain and texture provided by Mother Nature.
